# How BestBid paid rankings work

> BestBid sells transparent advertising positions. A higher position means a higher total completed paid bid, not higher product quality.

## 1. Enter a destination

Submit a website or supported public social profile. No signup is needed for guest checkout. The submitter must have authority to promote the destination; payment does not verify ownership.

## 2. Choose a ranking title

Choose a title published by BestBid and set a target total. A new listing pays the full bid; an existing listing pays the additional amount calculated at checkout.

## 3. Complete a one-time payment

Stripe displays the final charge and currency. An accepted payment adds to the listing's total and can publish it immediately, subject to moderation and the [ranking rules](https://bestbid.lol/rules.md).

## How positions change

Positions are never reserved. Higher paid totals appear first. Ties go to the listing that reached the amount earlier, followed by a deterministic technical tie-break. Refunds, disputes, and authorized ledger adjustments can change the order.
